I did walk a ton this weekend, (we walked on Saturday from our apartment down through central park all the way to the diamond district!) For non-new yorkers, imagine instead of taking your car to the supermarket or Target that is about 25 minutes away via car, and walk. We ended up walking around all day for 5 hours! But we also suplemented that walk with eating at TGIFridays*.
*Disclaimer: We only ate there since G wanted to try it out. I said reluctantely "ok...." Well, $84 later (AT TGIFridays!! WTF!?! All we ordered were two entrees and one dessert, which I only had one spoon. I lie not. One spoon). GRRRH .. I hence boycott TGIFridays. Especially in Times Square.
Today I after my recruiter interview (sigh) on Broadway and Lafyatte, I walked all the way uptown to meet Guillermo at his school on 34th street, then we walked up to Bryant Park together for a picnic. We ended up walking more after that, but I just attached a picture of the initial walk. (Total of 2.5 miles).
I didn't sweat like during a workout, but i was carrying my heavy laptop along with two lawn chairs.
What I ate today:
Breakfast-
1 measured cup of cornflakes with skim milk: 5 pts
1 granola bar after the interview: 4pts
Total 9
Lunch
Picnic in park-
smoked salmon: 2pts
crackers: 4pts
brie cheese: 6 pts
2 grape leaves: 2 pts
1 small chocolate for dessert 3pts
Total 17pts
Snack:
Strawberries: 0pts
TOTAL 26
Dinner will be at vietnamese and will have shrtimp summer roles in peanut sauce.
the peanut sauce is so addictive and so needed for the rolls. It's the best and because it's the best, probably has a ton of sugar and calories. Luckily the rest of the shrimp rolls dont have many points at all.
Pts: 8
Total: 33
Wedding plan update-- my mom was able to go to Michaels and buy more silk fans (white) for the chairs for the ceremony! YAYAY I think it will not only look nice, but will be functional for me and for the guests! YIPPY!!!
Also did a photoshoot yesterday in the park for the invite. We looked like morons posing like robots for the exact angle needed. Took some really nice pics as well! It was like a mini engagement photoshoot.
XO
